The story so far
It started with a hammock. Made around a kitchen table, our first-ever product was stitched with careful hands, a trusty sewing machine and a large dose of optimism.
A different perspective
Over the years, we’ve been trying to come up with the best way to say, “Hello, we’re Neptune, and this is who we are.” It’s easy to learn that we’re an interiors brand – our stores and our website will tell you that in no time. But while our designs are a huge part of who we are, ‘the why’ and ‘the how’ almost matter more than ‘the what’. It’s easy to tell you what we do, it’s harder to explain why. That’s where our philosophy, a different perspective, comes in. Three words that sum up our entire reason for being.

Chawton
Chawton is our make-it-your-own bookcase-meets-dresser – take your pick from ready-to-go configurations or combine any of the pieces to create your own, bespoke storage in store.
Carefully crafted from the same materials as our kitchen cabinets - oak, tulip and hardwood ply - Chawton has plenty in common with Chichester, Suffolk, Henley and Limehouse. but one considerable difference too. It’s freestanding.
20 years on, not much has changed really. The hammock has evolved into a very select collection of beautiful furniture and accessories, and a few pairs of hands have become hundreds, but the care, the commitment, the love and even that kitchen table very much remains. We adore natural materials and we respect traditional craft as much as modern making. From kitchens to bathrooms, from natural oak to hand-painted finishes, from lighting to florals, and from dressers to beds, this is our whole home concept.
We hope you enjoy it.
“HOW WE THINK
We’re big thinkers at Neptune. We think, and we think, and we think some more before we actually ‘do’. We don’t believe in plodding, but neither do we believe in rushing. We’re somewhere between the tortoise and the hare.”
